Go to Google AI Studio

Open your browser and go to: aistudio.google.com

Sign in with your Google account. You don't need to create a new account — your existing Gmail or Workspace account works.

Create an API Key

In the left sidebar, click Get API Key. Then click Create API key.

Choose Create API key in new project (simplest option).

Your key will appear — it starts with AIza...

⚠️Copy your key immediately and save it somewhere safe (Notes app, password manager). Google only shows it once.

Paste Key into GetReviewReply Pro

Open app.html → enter your access code → in the 1nify AI Connection box, paste your Gemini key.

Select model: Gemini 2.0 Flash (already selected by default).

Click Test connection → you should see a green ✓ Connected message.

Create an OpenRouter Account

Go to openrouter.ai → click Sign in → choose Sign in with Google.

Generate Your API Key

In the OpenRouter dashboard → click Keys in the left sidebar → click Create key.

Name it: GetReviewReply Pro

Your key starts with sk-or-v1-...

⚠️Copy this immediately. OpenRouter won't show it again after you close the dialog.

💡Simple rule: If you're on Solo, use Google Gemini Direct — it's cheaper and simpler. If you're on Scale-Up or above, use OpenRouter — you get more model choices and better rate limits for bulk processing.

Get a Free Apify Account

Go to apify.com → click Sign up free.

Apify's free tier gives you $5 credit per month — enough for 25-100 harvests depending on review volume.

After signing up → go to Settings → Integrations → copy your Personal API token (starts with apify_api_...)

Install the Google Sheets Harvester

Contact support@getreviewreplypro.com to receive the harvester script files (Code.gs and Sidebar.html).

Installation steps:

1. Open a new Google Sheet → Extensions → Apps Script

2. Replace the default code with the provided Code.gs content

3. Add a new HTML file named Sidebar and paste Sidebar.html content

4. Save → refresh your Sheet → a new ⭐ GetReviewReply Pro menu appears

Harvest Your First Reviews

1. In your Google Sheet → ⭐ GetReviewReply Pro → Open Harvester

2. Enter: Business Name, Target Keyword, Google Maps URL, Apify token

3. Click Harvest Reviews — takes 15-45 seconds

4. Reviews appear in your sheet with status: Unanswered / Responded / Ignored

5. Already-replied reviews are auto-detected and marked Responded — no wasted credits

Export to Bulk Processor

When ready to generate responses:

1. In your Sheet → ⭐ GetReviewReply Pro → Export Unanswered for RRP

2. Download the CSV

3. Open bulk.html → upload the CSV

4. Review the pre-flight check (shows exactly what will be processed)

5. Generate → download response CSV → copy responses to Google Business Profile

✅The exported CSV only includes Unanswered reviews — already-replied and ignored rows are skipped automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you store my API key?

No. Your API key is stored only in your browser session (memory) and is never sent to our servers. When you close the browser, it's gone. You'll need to re-enter it next time, or save it in your browser's password manager.
What if I hit the rate limit?

If you're on the free Gemini tier, you're limited to 15 requests per minute. For Solo plan usage (a few reviews at a time), this is rarely an issue. If you're doing bulk processing, use OpenRouter which has higher rate limits. The app will show a countdown timer if you hit a rate limit.
Can I use a different AI model?

Yes, through OpenRouter you can switch between Gemini 2.0 Flash (recommended), Gemini 1.5 Flash, Claude 3.5 Haiku, and GPT-4o Mini. Gemini 2.0 Flash gives the best balance of quality and cost for review responses.
What does the review cap mean exactly?

Each plan has a monthly cap on the number of review responses you can generate. Solo is capped at 100, Scale-Up 250 at 250, and so on. The cap resets every month. If you reach your cap before the month ends, you'll see a message. There are no overage fees — the processor simply stops and asks you to upgrade.
Is there a cost to harvest reviews with Apify?

Apify is a separate service you sign up for yourself. Their free tier gives $5 credit/month which covers most Scale-Up use cases. For high-volume harvesting, their $49/month plan covers ~500-2000 harvests. Your GetReviewReply Pro subscription does not include Apify credits.
I lost my API key — what do I do?

For Gemini: go back to aistudio.google.com → Get API key → your existing key is listed there (you can view it again). For OpenRouter: go to openrouter.ai/keys → you may need to create a new key if you didn't save the original. Creating a new key and deleting the old one is safe.
